Tumblr has been around for four years now and to my surprise only one Tumblr blog[1] has mentioned the sublime proto-surrealist Bizzarie di varie figure. I found a whole set of Bizzarie di varie figure[2] (in an online version) today. The swirling figures in plate 35 (shown above) are my favourite of the set.
