A man having his hand between the skirts of a woman[1] is a detail from The Triumph of Venus[2] by Francesco da Cossa, which is in itself a detail from the April Allegory fresco found in the pleasure palace Palazzo Schifanoia.

Another detail [3] depicts the Three Graces, probably the earliest post-classical representation of the naked intertwined dancers in painting, predating Sandro Botticelli’s version in Primavera and Three Graces by Raphael.
The Quattrocento is one of my favourite periods in art history. Its erotic component has not been studied extensively enough.
